    I think it's important to lower your hips (between shoulders and knees) and start the deadlift pushing with your legs to keep the angle of your spine during the start of the lift and finally end the movement with the hips. Lowering your hips will put less tension in your lower back and it will be safer to prevent injuries.

    This concept was taught to me in the navy. I competed in the USS CARL VINSON 1000lb challenge. I actually ended up squatting 385 and dead lifting 485. Yes my bench was 255 but my shoulder was hurt. Gotta eat to get bigger. There’s no way around it. I think if I’m 165 that’ll be good. I wanna call into a show and ask now. Gonna subscribe.

    After a spinal stenosis diagnosis and a sequestered disc, my neurologist told me to keep lifting. It was so refreshing and rare. Doctors these days don't even remember the phrase "use it or lose it," they just want authority over you and medicine.

    Years ago I had a home gym. It had a squat rack. Doing squats alone in your living room is dangerous. I never injured myself, but I got in trouble 2 or 3 times and had a risky time getting out from under the bar. I’d never heard of a trap bar back then. I’d have rather used a trap bar as it’s MUCH safer than barbell squats for a home gym.

    I have a large amount of trouble understanding chiropractic solutions. I look at the human body as an engineer looks at a radio mast. The metal is much like a skeleton with wear points built in to the areas that have to move some.The guy wires are like muscle and tendons in the fact they allow movement and hold it upright. If the guy wire had a knot in it we would repair the knot not push the structure. If it was a knot in a muscle I would use a massage therapist to work it out and stretch it not move the part thats out of alignment. Parts of the body get worse when they dont get used (to much sitting around not enough bending etc.). Also if you expose either of them to the wrong elements they will have problems. Lift big weights to keep muscle and bone density up, stretch and eat better no processed food or as little as possible. The last thing is if I hurt I use a good deep massage therapist that knows stretching.

    Its understandable enough and I also do fives most of the time (not always though). But to be strict, you only get five because you arbitarly defined 20 as the upper limit. So if five depends on an arbitary number, then 5 is as arbitary as any other number. I guess theres a bit of empirical data here...

    I agree with what he’s saying. He’s saying why the hell did they switch to a hex bar and call it a deadlift. Yes that is insulting tbh. I have both a barbell and hex bar. By no means do I think the hex bar can replace my barbell. But what the hex does good is sports specific training or if you wanna train explosiveness.

    Gave my coworker the blue book around this time last year told him to keep it as long as he needed. He began flipping the pages pointing out some of the things he's heard me talk about even said "wow he went into alot of detail" handed the book back to me a few minutes later (it was like he was doing me a favor by feigning interest)😂. He's was complaining about back pain then and the last few months its been hip and back. I haven't said a word about ss to him since he have me the book back. He hasn't been to the gym once and hasn't touched a barbell now begging the doctors to see him so he can schedule surgey as the pain has become unbearable. 😢 i told him when i gave him the book that i had back pain since i was in high school all the way until i was 37 when i found ss.
